We started working with HDA around the time that auto enrolment was being introduced.  At that time our finance team were managing the company’s group pension scheme, dealing directly with our pension provider, but were very conscious that the returns for our pension members was falling well short of what could be achieved with a more actively managed approach.

With a changing pension landscape and legislative changes being introduced, we also wanted a partner to give us the confidence that we would be compliant with our increased obligations in this area.

HDA came highly recommended by one of our board level Directors, who already had an established relationship with them on the financial planning side.

Having selected HDA, we successfully rolled out auto enrolment efficiently and   HDA now manage all aspects of our group pension scheme as well as managing our life assurance scheme; reviewing and renegotiating our policy on an annual basis to ensure it remains competitive.  Their financial planners visit our offices on a regular basis, to give pension advice to our staff on an individual basis.

For us, it alleviates the time-consuming work involved in managing these schemes and gives us peace of mind that we are compliant and up to date with any new legislative requirements.

We view the regular ‘pension clinics’ run by HDA at our offices as an additional and valuable benefit for our staff, who find the meetings to be helpful and informative for their own pension planning.
